The course is directed to price statisticians, economists, national accountants and others who use index numbers in their work or are interested in the subject. The course is also suitable for students of advanced econometrics. The course language is English.
The literature is mainly based on the chapters on index theory written by Erwin Diewert in the new ILO manual on Consumer Price Indices that is becoming a international standard in the field and additional reading material provided by him.
