Statistics Finland has renewed the search function on its website. The new function makes the finding of data significantly easier: it allows data to be searched and found with more precision than before from tables, databases, articles and diverse metadata.
The editability of the search results has also been improved. The "Try also" function gives the user tips on other related search words with almost identical meaning to the search term. The search function also offers links to the home pages of statistics that may be connected with the search word and are closely associated with the searched topic.
Statistics Finland's website comprises over 140,000 html pages and some 1,600 StatFin database tables.
