Statistics Finland has published time series on the development of the Finnish economy in its databases. The longest time series cover more than 150 years.
Annual data start from 1860, and contain time series on Finland's GDP and population. The time series were compiled in the Bank of Finland's research project on growth and published for the first time in 1988 in Riitta Hjerppe's book "Suomen talous 1860–1985: Kasvu ja rakennemuutos" (English version in 1989: The Finnish economy 1860–1985 : Growth and structural change). The data content of the table will be widened later. In addition, Statistics Finland updates the time series with the latest years.
Quarterly time series start from 1960 or 1975. The first table contains the time series of Quarterly National Accounts between 1975 and 1990. The second table includes the time series for 1960–1990 with more restricted data content.
