Statistics Finland's Director General Marjo Bruun has been selected as member of the Partnership Group of the European Statistical System ESS for the term between 1 September 2013 and 30 June 2015.
The Partnership Group is a high-level group selected by the European Statistical System Committee ESSC, in which Eurostat's Director General and Director Generals of national statistical institutes take part. The total number of members is nine.
The aim of the Partnership Group is to increase mutual understanding between the European Commission and the Member States in order to develop the European Statistical Programme and the European Statistical System. The Partnership Group prepares topic selections for the ESSC meetings and actively follows development initiatives and projects.
