Participant Registration Fee Covers:
The registration fee for participants in categories 1, 2 and 3 includes access to all scientific meetings, the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, August 10, the City of Helsinki Reception on Wednesday, August 11, and the Concert on Friday, August 13. The Proceedings of the 52nd ISI Session will be included in the Congress Pack which will be supplied to all participants in categories 1, 2 and 3 upon arrival at the Session.
Accompanying Person’s Registration Fee Covers:
The registration fee for accompanying persons includes the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, August 10, the City of Helsinki Reception on Wednesday, August 11, the Concert on Friday, August 13, and a limited set of material in the Congress Pack of accompanying persons. Participation in the scientific programme and the Proceedings of the 52nd ISI Session are not included.
Authors of contributed papers should submit their registration fees before June 1, 1999 to ensure that their papers will be included in the programme and in the Conference Volume of Contributed Papers.
Please note that meals are not included in the registration fee. All Registration Forms should be accompanied by full payment (either a credit card number or a copy of the bank transfer order in Finnish Marks). An additional fee of FIM 50 will be added if an invoice is requested in addition to the confirmation letter. For cancellation terms, see 4.10.

There is a vast variety of pleasant hotels in Helsinki. CONGREX, the official congress office of the 52nd ISI Session, has reserved 1,500 rooms in various price categories for the participants. On the Registration Form you have the possibility to indicate your first and second choice of hotels. However, reservations will be made on a "first come, first served" basis.
Finland holds the European Union Presidency in the second half of the year 1999 and August is also the traditional holiday season in many countries. To secure accommodation in the hotel of your choice your Registration Form should be submitted as early as possible. Prices quoted are per room per night and include accommodation, breakfast, hotel service charge and VAT (Value Added Tax).
A deposit of FIM 1,000 should be paid in advance by bank transfer order or credit card. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of accommodation. The remaining hotel payment will be paid at the hotel upon departure. For cancellation terms, see 4.10.

A duplicate or a photocopy of the bank transfer order should be sent to the Congress Office along with the Registration Form. The name and address of the participant should be clearly marked on the bank transfer as well as the details of the payment.
Upon receipt of the Registration Form and payments, a Confirmation Letter will be sent to the participants. The Confirmation Letter should be presented at the registration desk at Finlandia Hall.

All refunds will be processed after the Session. Credit will not be granted for late arrival, unused services, unattended events and early departure from the Session.
The organiser strongly encourages participants to arrange travel insurance, which will also cover costs related to possible cancellation of the conference trip due to health or other unpredictable reasons.
