Data on renovation building are collected in connection with the data collection of the statistics on the finances of housing corporations. The statistics on the finances of housing corporations describe the financial statements of housing companies and government-subsidised rental housing companies. A separate renovation building form is used to collect data concerning renovation building costs and investments from the financial statements of housing corporations. The statistics comprise data on renovation building by type of building, age structure of buildings and renovation measure. The data are based on a sample survey. The renovation building of housing corporations is divided into two parts: renovation building of housing corporations and renovation building of government-subsidised rental housing companies. From the largest rental housing companies the data are collected with a separate inquiry. The statistics are produced annually.
