Data collections

The data collections section contains information about the inquiries and interviews Statistics Finland conducts among enterprises, municipalities, central government organisations and households. Included are, as a general rule, Statistics Finland's direct data collections with more than 30 respondents.

You can, for example, seek guidance for answering inquiries on these pages. Besides basic information about the inquiries, this section also contains the questionnaires and instructions of all data collections, links to inquiry results, and contact information. Data collections can be browsed by topic, e.g. enterprises, municipalities, governmental and households. All data collections are also listed in alphabetical order.

The pages also contain information about the principles, practices, backgrounds and respondents' obligations that apply to data collections. Statistics Finland's right to collect data for statistical purposes is based on the obligation to provide data laid down in the Statistics Act. The Statistics Act decrees that data collected for statistical purposes must be kept secret and are confidential.

The frequently asked questions (FAQ) and contact information are intended to help in problem situations.
