The target of the data collection on education of educational institutions not leading to a qualification is the education provided by educational institutions that does not lead to a qualification.
The information is gathered through the organisers of the education. The data are collected by educational institution and the data suppliers are vocational education institutions, polytechnics, music colleges, sports education centres, folk high schools, adult education centres, summer universities and study centres.
The data are collected electronically via the Internet with a web questionnaire. The data transmission application remains open from 1 March to 31 March. The application can only be accessed by data suppliers who have received a user ID from Statistics Finland.The obligation to provide data is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004). The Statistics Act obliges Statistics Finland to treat the provided data as confidential.
