Data are gathered in this collection about the output, labour input and total input of state accounting offices and institutions. The data are collected annually in March to April with an electronic questionnaire.
Statistical units are all central government agencies and institutions or other units. The statistics do not include unincorporated government enterprises or enterprises owned by the State.
The collection of data is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004). According to Section 14 of the Statistics Act, state authorities are obliged to provide Statistics Finland with such data in their possession that are necessary for the production of statistics, as well as with data on their own activities, finances, duties, staff and other resources required in their activities.
The collected data are confidential. By separate agreement, the data on agencies and institutions of each administrative branch can be supplied to the Ministry of the branch in question to be utilised in performance monitoring.Unit-level data can be processed at Statistics Finland only by those employees participating in the compilation of the statistics in question. The data are protected against inappropriate use in accordance with the data protection regulations of Statistics Finland.Last updated 22.5.2012
