<title>Share of general government expenditure of GDP started to rise in 2008</title>
<link>http://www.stat.fi/til/jmete/2008/jmete_2008_2010-01-29_tie_001_en.html</link>
<description>The share of total general government expenditure of gross domestic product (GDP) was 49.5 per cent in 2008. In 2007 the share was 47.3 per cent. The upward turn of the share of expenditure of GDP in 2008 was due both to faster growth of total expenditure than in the year before and in particular the slowing down of the growth rate of GDP. In 2006 and 2007 the share of total expenditure of GDP diminished from the previous year. General government total expenditure grew by 7.3 per cent in 2008</description>
