Meeting venueThe meeting will be held at Statistics Finland (in Finnish: Tilastokeskus) in Helsinki. Visiting address: Työpajankatu 13, 00580 Helsinki Hotel informationStatistics Finland has booked a quota of 10 single rooms at the Scandic Simonkenttä hotel, 15 single rooms at the Hilton Helsinki Strand hotel and a quota of 15 single rooms at the Helka hotel. The booking has been made under the reservation code "Statistics Finland". If you decide to use these hotels please confirm your reservation direct with the hotel by 21 April 2005 at the latest. Please remember to mention the code "Statistics Finland" when booking your accommodation. TransportationFrom airport to city centre Helsinki-Vantaa airport is located some 20 kilometres north of Helsinki. A frequent bus service called Finnair City Bus operates between Helsinki-Vantaa and Finnair City Terminal located next to the central railway station. The fare (payable to driver) is EUR 4.90 and the journey takes around 35 minutes. Taxis are also available. A regular taxi fare to the city is EUR 25 to 30. Airport Taxis (which take a group of persons heading in the same direction) are slightly cheaper. Taxi drivers accept major credit cards and do not expect tips. Bus stops and taxi ranks are situated immediately outside the arrivals hall. From city centre to Statistics Finland Statistics Finland is situated about 4 kilometres northeast of the central railway station of Helsinki. Taxi fare from the city centre to our office is EUR 10 to 15. If you decide to use public transport the easiest way to get to our office is by bus numbers 73B or 68 from the square outside the central railway station (Railway Station Square). Conference dinnerThe Finnish Ministry of Education will be hosting a conference dinner on Tuesday, 24 May. All delegates and spouses are very welcome to attend. Please indicate your attendance on the registration form. WorldSkills CompetitionThe Finnish Ministry of Education offers you the opportunity to visit the WorldSkills Competition in Helsinki on 26 May. Please indicate your participation on the registration form so we can arrange tickets for you. In the WorldSkills Competition, organised every second year, young people under 23 years of age from all over the world compete in the skills of their vocational fields. There are 34 official competition skills and about five demonstration skills. The skills represent the fields of technology, industry and services.
