Statistics Finland is Finland's national statistical institute that produces impartial statistics on Finnish society. Our task is to process data accumulated from various data sources into statistics to support decision-making and for the use of citizens, researchers and others needing data.
The Paavo statistical service based on postal code areas has been updated again to correspond to the latest regional division of 2026. The service now includes up-to-date data for 2024 on nearly all topics, and users can view development in their area more closely than before.
This year, Statistics Finland collects information on households' consumption. The Household Budget Survey carried out since 1966 includes over 17,000 households. The Household Budget Survey provides information on changes in the consumption expenditure of households and on differences in consumption by population group.
The Statistical Yearbook of Finland, which celebrates Statistics Finland's 160th anniversary, provides an extensive overview of the statistics on Finland and Finnish society. The Yearbook contains long time series that give an overall picture of the development of our society. The Yearbook tells stories about us – also for future generations.
