Household Budget Survey
The Household Budget Survey produces information about the consumption expenditure of households and the structure of consumption, and about differences in them by population group. The survey studies the possession of durable consumer goods, living conditions, indebtedness and incomes among households by collecting data from a sample of households with interviews, diaries kept by households on their expenditure, and from administrative registers.
From 1966 right up to 1990 the Household Budget Survey was conducted regularly at five-year intervals. In the three years from 1994 to 1996 the survey was completed every year. The latest Household Budget Survey data are from the years 2001-2002.
