Integrated measurement of household-level income, wealth and non-monetary well-being in Finland

Measurement of economic and non-monetary well-being of households has advanced in recent years. This paper discusses measurement of household wealth and its relation to income poverty and non-monetary deprivation in Finland. The paper focuses on concepts and methods: it discusses the definitions of wealth and the related income flows, using the cross-national sources as the reference, and relate these to the operational definition and measurement in the Finnish implementation. In addition current main EU indicator on at risk of poverty and social exclusion (AROPE) are adjusted with household wealth.
