Periodicals
The Library of Statistics receives approximately 300 domestic and foreign periodicals, and 90 of them are available in electronic format. The periodicals cover especially well the fields of statistics, demographics, economics and social sciences. The Tilda database of the Library of Statistics contains an up-to-date list of these printed periodicals.
The latest annual volumes of the periodicals are displayed on the journal shelves of the Library. Older volumes are kept in a storeroom from where they are fetched upon request. The periodicals cannot be taken on loan outside the Library but can be read and photocopied on the Library premises.
Online journals
The online journals listed in the Tilda database comprise the
electronic journals the Library subscribes to through SwetsWise Online (user
interface in Finnish). These are available to customers at the
Library as both printed and electronic versions.
PressDisplay and ePress - web-based portals, offer current issues
of newspapers in the original form from all over the world. The
service is available in the library and in the local area network
of Statistics Finland.
Articles
The articles of the periodicals published by Statistics Finland are stored in theTilda database starting from 1990.
The articles are key-worded according to the Finnish Keyword Index (YSA).
