The Library of Statistics functions as the national central library of statistics and it is an information and service point of statistics open to everyone. Its collections include statistics broadly on different social areas and phenomena.
The library's information service, tel. +358 9 1734 2220, replies to inquiries during opening hours, on weekdays between 8 am and 16.15 pm. The opening hours are: Mon-Fri 10.00 am to 4.15 pm
Customers have access to the library's printed and electronic material. In the library premises it is possible to use several licensed databases, e.g. the OECD and World Bank material. Statistics Finland's all databases can be accessed from the library workstations. The use is free, but printouts are charged in accordance with the list of service charges.
In the library customers are given guidance in the use of the library collections, catalogues and databases. Information search requests can also be made by telephone, telefax, email at: library@stat.fi, or with the Ask about statistics web form.
Guidance and brief information service are given free of charge. Larger assignments are subject to a charge and agreements are always made about them case-specifically with the information specialist.
