Even if you are not applying statistical methods in your thesis or diploma work, you can use statistical data as a source of information in your research. Statistics are divided into 26 topics, which cover nearly every area of life. The home page of each set of statistics includes the most recent statistical release. The Library of Statistics offers assistance to all users of information. In addition to literature on statistics, the Library has a wide collection of literature on social sciences and various handbooks on doing research.
The Library assists in the use of the materials during opening hours and through online services. The Library of Statistics also produces chargeable commissions on Finnish data as well as on the data of other countries, Eurostat and international organisations.
The statistical databases of Statistics Finland contain a wide selection of statistical data in table format to meet the needs of a variety of users.
Statistics Finland's research services cover both unit level data of statistics and a variety of services supporting research.
