On the Statistics pages, you can explore the various statistics produced by Statistics Finland and different browsing possibilities. An alphabetical list of the descriptions of statistics as well as other information, or metadata, which helps in the interpretation of statistics can be found under Descriptions of statistics.
Familiarize yourself also with statistical classifications. The producers of statistics use classifications when producing statistics and interpreting them. Knowledge of classifications allows you to extract more from statistical data. The majority of the classifications used by Statistics Finland are based on international classification standards. International statistical classifications promote the comparability of statistics e.g. between different EU countries.
