Environmental accounting statistics describe

  • People's active economic activity or other pursuit of interests where natural resources are used. Such activity shapes the state of nature, changes the quantity of natural resources or impacts on the diversity of nature.
  • The disadvantages and other effects caused by human activity on nature, such as emissions into air, water or ground. In that case, the measuring targets are greenhouse gases, waste and chemicals, for example.
  • The activity included in the regulation on use of natural resources, such as environmental taxes and charges, and development of environmentally friendly technology.
