Rise in the prices of old dwellings in housing companies slowed down in large towns in the second quarter of 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies rose in April to June 2022 by 1.7 per cent in the whole country compared to the previous year and by 1.1 per cent compared to the previous quarter. Prices of dwellings rose in various parts of Finland in the second quarter year-on-year, but the rise has slowed down especially in large towns, except for Tampere. Eleven per cent fewer transactions of old dwellings in housing companies were made through real estate agents in the second quarter and nine per cent fewer in June than in the corresponding period in 2021.
