According to Statistics Finland, the combined number of personnel in enterprises in 2021 was 1.4 million converted into full-time employees. The calculation method of the number of personnel was changed starting from data concerning 2021, so the figures are not comparable with previous years. Measured by the number of personnel, the most significant industries in 2021 were manufacturing (TOL C) and trade (TOL G). Among the industries, the combined number of personnel in enterprises was lowest in mining and quarrying (TOL B) and education (TOL P).
