Turnover in industry grew by 14.0 per cent in November 2022

Turnover grew in almost all main industries in November

Adjusted for working days, turnover grew in nearly all main industries in November. The growth was strongest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, up by 42.2 per cent from one year back. Turnover in the chemical industry grew by 20.7 per cent from one year ago. The growth in the turnover of the industries was partly due to risen prices. In the forest industry, turnover grew by 11.5 per cent and in the metal industry by 6.4 per cent. Turnover decreased only in the electronic and electrical industry and was 3.4 per cent lower than one year earlier.

Export turnover grew in November in nearly all main industries

Export turnover in industry adjusted for working days grew in November in nearly all main industries. Export turnover increased most in the textile industry, by 22.9 per cent, and in the food industry, by 17.9 per cent from one year ago. In the forest industry, export turnover grew by 9.6 per cent and in the metal industry by 2.3 per cent. Export turnover decreased only in the electrical and electronics industry, by 6.4 per cent from twelve months earlier.

Domestic turnover in industry adjusted for working days grew in November in almost all main industries. Domestic turnover increased most in the chemical industry, by 28.9 per cent from one year back. In the forest industry, turnover grew by 15.4 per cent and in the metal industry by 11.2 per cent. Domestic turnover decreased only in mining and quarrying and was 1.1 per cent lower than twelve months back.

Turnover decreased in November from the previous month

Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry decreased by 0.3 per cent in November 2022 compared to October. Turnover grew by 0.2 per cent in October, while it decreased by 0.8 per cent in September from the month before.
