Starting from 16 February 2023, Statistics Finland will start releasing data on workplace self-sufficiency by area. In addition, data will be published at the 2-digit level of the Standard Industrial Classification (TOL 2008) by sex and area.

According to Statistics Finland, there were 2,377,100 jobs in Finland at the end of 2021, which was 92,500 more than in 2020 and almost the same as in 2019. Thus, the number of jobs returned immediately after the first coronavirus year to the figures prior to it. Examined by industry, the number of jobs grew most in manufacturing and in administrative and support service activities in 2021.
