Costs of civil engineering rose in February 2023 by 8.8 per cent from one year ago

According to Statistics Finland, the costs of civil engineering rose by 8.8 per cent from February 2022 to February 2023. The annual change in costs varied by sub-index from 12.3 per cent for rock structures to 3.2 per cent for concrete structures.

Line chart. The starting point of the index in 2015 is 100. The total index has risen fairly evenly throughout the time series. In the sub-index of surfacing, sharp rises and falls fluctuate, although in 2021 the rise has been stronger than before. Earth structures are developing steadily.
