These statistics show the distribution of public credit by creditor and borrower sector, industry of borrower, and region, as well as distribution of housing loans by region

Data collection methods and data sources

Data for the statistics on regional outstanding credit are collected yearly from banks, other monetary financial institutions practising financial intermediation, insurance coprorations, other financial intermediaries, the state and social security funds.

Yearly.

Time of completion or release

Around 5.5 months from the statistical period.

Time series

Depending on the accuracy wanted, time series data are available on outstanding credit from 1979 onwards. The regional classification changed in 1998 into classification of regions, before that the regional classification used was the classification of provinces.
