Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased in October

The goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,4 million tonnes in October 2021. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 14 per cent compared to October 2020. In October 2021 domestic water transport took place in coastal waterways and inland waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 181,109 tonnes, which was 48 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was crude minerals and cement, 60,729 tonnes.

Vessel traffic and goods volume in the Saimaa Canal

A total of 15,947 tons of transport were registered through the canal in domestic traffic.
