Building costs rose by 3.6 per cent in July

Building costs were 3.6 per cent higher in July 2011 than in July 2010. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.1 per cent and prices of materials by 4.2 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs rose by 5 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland

From June to July, the total index rose by 0.1 per cent. The prices for labour fell by 0.1 per cent. Prices of materials rose by 0.2 per cent and the prices for those of other inputs by 0.4 per cent.
