The annual statistics on telecommunications describe the state and development of telecommunications in Finland and cover data related to the telecommunications infrastructure and the volume of services transmitted in the telecommunications networks. The inquiry concerns telecommunications enterprises and other enterprises engaged in telecommunications activities. The inquiry is carried out annually. The data supply obligation is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004). The data are used confidentially and only for statistical purposes. The data can be returned on a paper questionnaire or via the Internet in the electronic service.
Teleoperators and other enterprises engaged in telecommunications activities.
Enterprises’ obligation to provide data is based on the Statistics Act (280/2004). By law, the data on individual enterprises collected for statistical purposes must be kept confidential. Statistics Finland uses the data for compiling statistics and for research.
