reviewAccording to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, Finland's population at the end of September was 5,559,198. During January–September Finland's population increased by 10,957 persons. The reason for the population increase was migration gain from abroad: the number of immigrants was 21,245 higher than that of emigrants. The number of births was 11,884 lower than that of deaths.
