Mortality grew historically in Finland in 2022

According to Statistics Finland, the number of deaths in 2022 was 63,219, which is 5,560 more than one year earlier. In turn, provisional life expectancy at birth was 78.6 years for boys and 83.8 years for girls in 2022. For boys, life expectancy decreased by 0.52 years and for girls by 0.67 years compared with 2021.
