Goods transport by road

The statistics on goods transport by road describe the transport activity of lorries registered in Finland for private and licensed transport in Finland and abroad. The data are collected with an inquiry from holders of lorries and published quarterly.

Releases

According to Statistics Finland's data, a total of 58 million tonnes of goods were transported by lorries in domestic road transport in the first quarter of 2022. Compared with the previous year, the volume of transported goods decreased by three per cent. The transport performance, in turn, grew by good one fifth and amounted to 7.5 billion tonne-kilometres.
