Total energy consumption grew by 6 per cent in 2021 but consumption of fossil fuels decreased

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, total energy consumption rose by six per cent in 2021. Since the growth is mainly explained by increased use of renewable energy sources, carbon dioxide emissions from the energy use of fuels did not grow, however.
