The trend indicator of output is part of national accounts and aims to anticipate the development of value added in the national economy at the level of the whole economy and three main industries (primary production, secondary production and services). Data are produced with indicators and published once a month.

According to Statistics Finland, output adjusted for working days grew in April 2022 by 4.0 per cent from one year ago. Seasonally adjusted output grew by 0.7 per cent in April from the month before. According to revised data, working day adjusted output grew in March 2022 by 5.0 per cent (previously 5.4%) from March last year. Working day adjusted primary production increased by around six per cent. Secondary production grew by about five per cent and services by around three per cent from April 2021.
