Financial accounts

Official Statistics of Finland (OSF)
Financial accounts are part of national accounts and describe financial balance sheets (assets, liabilities) and flows (purchases, sales, amortisations) of all sectors of the national economy. Statistics are produced by combining a number of register and data collection data. Data are published quarterly and once a year.

Households’ financial assets declined by EUR 11.1 billion during the first quarter of 2022 falling to EUR 373.2 billion. In turn, households’ debts contracted by EUR 1.9 billion during the first quarter of 2022 decreasing to EUR 199.4 billion. As a result of these changes, households' net financial assets decreased by EUR 9.1 billion to EUR 173.8 billion. Net financial assets refer to the difference between financial assets and liabilities. These data derive from Statistics Finland’s financial accounts statistics.
