On 1 January 2015, by a municipal merger, Maaninka (476) merged with Kuopio (297) and as a result of the change in constituencies, both the former area of Maaninka and the new municipality Kuopio moved from the North Savo constituency (old number 10) to the new Savo-Karelia constituency (new number 09).
Changes in constituencies, amendment of the Election Act 271/2013 entered into force on 1 September 2013 (applied from 2015), the Kymi constituency (old number 08) and the South Savo constituency (old number 09) were united into the Southeast Finland constituency (new number 08). The Southeast Finland constituency comprises Enonkoski (046), Hamina (075), Heinävesi (090), Hirvensalmi (097), Iitti (142), Imatra (153), Joroinen (171), Juva (178), Kangasniemi (213), Kotka (285), Kouvola (286), Lappeenranta (405), Lemi (416), Luumäki (441), Miehikkälä (489), Mikkeli (491), Mäntyharju (507), Parikkala (580), Pertunmaa (588), Pieksämäki (593), Puumala (623), Pyhtää (624), Rantasalmi (681), Rautjärvi (689), Ruokolahti (700), Savitaipale (739), Savonlinna (740), Sulkava (768), Taipalsaari (831) and Virolahti (935). The North Savo constituency (old number 10) and the North Karelia constituency (old number 11) were united into the Savo-Karelia constituency (new number 09). The Savo-Karelia constituency comprises Iisalmi (140), Ilomantsi (146), Joensuu (167), Juankoski (174), Juuka (176), Kaavi (204), Keitele (239), Kitee (260), Kiuruvesi (263), Kontiolahti (276), Kuopio (297), Lapinlahti (402), Leppävirta (420), Lieksa (422), Liperi (426), Nurmes (541), Outokumpu (309), Pielavesi (595), Polvijärvi (607), Rautalampi (686), Rautavaara (687), Rääkkylä (707), Siilinjärvi (749), Sonkajärvi (762), Suonenjoki (778), Tervo (844), Tohmajärvi (848), Tuusniemi (857), Valtimo (911), Varkaus (915), Vesanto (921) and Vieremä (925).
On 1 January 2013, by a municipal merger, Suomenniemi (775) was merged with Mikkeli (491) and as a result, the former area of Suomenniemi moved from the Kymi constituency (08) to the South Savo constituency (09). By a municipal merger, Kiikoinen (254) was merged with Sastamala (790) and as a result, the former area of Kiikoinen moved from the Satakunta constituency (04) to the Pirkanmaa constituency (07).
1 January 2007 In connection with the abolishment of the municipality of Längelmäki, part of the area of Längelmäki (443) moved to the municipality of Jämsä (182) from the Pirkanmaa constituency (07) to the Central Finland constituency (13). In connection with the abolishment of the municipality of Längelmäki, part of the area of Längelmäki (443) moved to the municipality of Orivesi (562) in the Pirkanmaa constituency.
1 January 2005 Punkalaidun (619) moved from the Satakunta constituency (04) to the Pirkanmaa constituency (07).
1 January 2002 Kangaslampi (212) moved from the Etelä-Savo constituency (09) to the North Savo constituency (10).
1 May 2002 (amendment to the Election Act 247/2002 in force on 1 May 2002) The name of the Mikkeli constituency (09) changed into the South Savo constituency (09). The name of the Kuopio constituency (10) changed into the North Savo constituency (10).
2 October 1998 Artjärvi (015) and Orimattila (560) moved from the Uusimaa constituency (02) to the Häme constituency (06). Kodisjoki (266) moved from the Varsinais-Suomi constituency (03) to the Satakunta constituency (04). Suodenniemi (772), Vammala (912) and Äetsä (988) moved from the Satakunta constituency (04) to the Pirkanmaa constituency (07). Urjala (887) moved from the Häme constinuency (06) to the Pirkanmaa constituency (07). Hartola (081), Heinola (111) and Sysmä (781) moved from the Mikkeli constituency (09) to the Häme constituency (06).

The Uusimaa province constituency (02) changed into the Uusimaa constituency (02). The Turku south constituency (03) changed into the Varsinais-Suomi constituency (03). The Turku north constituency (04) changed into the Satakunta constituency (03). The Häme south constituency (06) changed into the Häme constituency (03). The Häme north constituency (07) changed into the Pirkanmaa constituency (03). The Kymi province constituency (08) changed into the Kymi constituency (08). The Mikkeli province constituency (09) changed into the Mikkeli constituency (09). The North Karelia province constituency (10) changed into the North Karelia constituency (11). The Kuopio province constituency (11) changed into the Kuopio constituency (10). The Central Finland province constituency (12) changed into the Central Finland constituency (13).
