Description
Statistics Finland compiles statistics on pupils accepted or transferred to special education in comprehensive schools, part-time special education and special vocational education. Data are also collected on special education arrangements in upper secondary general education. Data on special education are published annually in Statistics Finland’s Educational Institutions publication. The first statistics on special education within comprehensive school education were compiled in 1998 and since 2001 they have been produced annually. Data on special education within vocational education and on special education arrangements in upper secondary general schools have been collected since 1999.
