General government revenue and expenditure by quarter

Data:	Latest release: General government surplus decreased by EUR 0.4 billion in April to June 30 Sep 2013 In the second quarter of 2013, consolidated total general government revenue grew by EUR 0.8 billion from the respective quarter of the previous year. Consolidated expenditure increased by EUR 1.2 billion. The difference between revenue and expenditure, that is, the surplus (Net lending) of general government fell by EUR 0.4 billion from the year before. Total revenue increased by 0.5 per cent from the previous quarter. Total expenditure grew by 1.8 per cent from the previous quarter. In the second quarter of 2013, the general government surplus (net lending) stood at EUR 1.2 billion. These data derive from Statistics Finlands statistics on general government revenue and expenditure by quarter. General government is comprised of central government, local government and social security funds. Next release: 19 Dec 2013
Description:	The statistics describe quarterly data on the revenue and expenditure of general government. The statistics are derived statistics according to the national accounts, that is, statistics according to the national accounts derived from sector-specific basic statistics. The statistics were developed to develop economic monitoring of general government for timely and reliable measuring of the public sector required by the EU's Stability and Growth Pact and the European Central Bank ECB.
