In June 2009, building permits were granted for a total of 4.1 million cubic metres, which is roughly one-quarter less than one year ago. Cubic volumes went down in almost all building types.
In January-June 2009, building permits were granted for a total of nearly 20 million cubic metres, which is one-quarter less than in the respective period one year earlier. Cubic volumes went down in all building types apart from agricultural buildings. Building permits were granted for just under 11,000 new dwellings, which is good one-quarter less than in January to June 2008.
