According to interviews carried out in spring 2008, more than 3.2 million Finns, or some 83 per cent of the 16 to 74-year-olds, had used the Internet during the three months preceding the interview. In 2004 the corresponding percentage was 70. Internet use is now regular, 78 per cent of the population get online weekly.
