Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 3.7 per cent in the year
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 3.7 per cent from October 2010 to October 2011. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 4.9 per cent, while the producer prices of export industries went up by 2.3 per cent.

The export price index rose by 2.4 per cent and the import price index by 7.1 per cent in the year. The basic price index for domestic supply went up by 5.4 per cent and the year-on-year change in the wholesale price index was 6.6 per cent.
The rise in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by risen prices of oil products, chemicals and food from October of the previous year. The rising of the prices was curbed above all by falls in the prices of metals.
From September to October, producer prices for manufactured products went down by 0.5 per cent. The fall was mainly due to lower prices of metals.
