Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 0.2 per cent in July
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 0.2 per cent from July 2011 to July 2012. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market went up by 0.7 per cent, while the producer prices of export industries went down by 0.3 per cent.

The Export Price Index fell by 0.3 per cent and the Import Price Index rose by 1.8 per cent in the year. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went up by 1.9 per cent and the year-on-year change in the Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply, Including Taxes was 2.1 per cent.
The rise in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by higher prices of oil products and food and by the risen cost of district heat from July of the previous year. The increase was curbed above all by lower prices of metals and electricity.
From June to July, producer prices for manufactured products rose by 0.1 per cent. The rise was mainly due to increased prices of oil products.
