Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 1.5 per cent in December
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 1.5 per cent from December 2011 to December 2012. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 2.9 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 0.1 per cent.

The Export Price Index remained unchanged from December 2011 to December 2012. The Import Price Index rose by 0.7 per cent. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went up by 2.6 per cent and the year-on-year change in the Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply Including Taxes was 2.9 per cent.
The rise in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by higher prices of electricity, food and oil products from December of the previous year. The rising of the prices was curbed particularly by falls in the prices of paper and electronic appliances.
From November to December, producer prices for manufactured products fell by 0.2 per cent. The fall was mainly due to decreased prices of oil products from the previous month.
