Producer prices for manufactured products remained on average unchanged in March
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products remained on average unchanged from March 2012 to March 2013. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 1.0 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.4 per cent.

The Export Price Index fell by 1.3 per cent and the Import Price Index by 1.8 per cent in the year. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went up by 0.8 per cent. The year-on-year change in the Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply, Including Taxes was 1.6 per cent.
Producer prices for manufactured products rose in particular due to higher prices of district heat, electricity, food and machines and equipment from March of the previous year. The rise in prices was, however, curbed in particular by fallen prices of refined oil products and manufacturing of basic metals.
From February to March, producer prices for manufactured products went up by 0.3 per cent. The rise was in particular due to higher prices of paper, iron and steel.
