Producer prices for manufactured products fell by 0.5 per cent in April
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 0.5 per cent from April 2012 to April 2013. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 0.5 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.8 per cent.

The Export Price Index fell by 1.7 per cent and the Import Price Index by 2.7 per cent in the year. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went up by 0.1 per cent. The year-on-year change in the Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply, Including Taxes was 0,9 per cent.
Producer prices for manufactured products went down particularly due to reduced prices of oil products, manufacturing of basic metals and electronic appliances from last year's April. The falling of the prices was curbed especially by higher prices of electricity, district heating, food, and machinery and equipment.
From March to April, producer prices for manufactured goods went down by 0.6 per cent. The fall was mainly caused by lower prices of oil products and manufacturing of basic metals.
