Producer prices for manufactured products fell by 0.4 per cent in May
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 0.4 per cent from May 2012 to May 2013. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 0.5 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.5 per cent.

The Export Price Index fell by 1.4 per cent and the Import Price Index by 2.1 per cent in the year. The Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply went up by 0.2 per cent. The year-on-year change in the Basic Price Index for Domestic Supply, Including Taxes was 1.1 per cent.
Producer prices for manufactured products went down especially due to reductions in the prices of oil products, manufacturing of basic metals and electronic appliances from last year's May. The falling of the prices was curbed particularly by higher prices of district heating, electricity, food and machines and equipment.
From April to May, producer prices for manufactured products went down by 0.2 per cent. Producer prices were mainly depressed by falls in the prices of electricity and oil products.
