| Description: | National Institute for Health and Welfare annually gathers data from health centres concerning the outpatient care that they provide. The data reported by health centres is broken down by participating municipality. Physician visits and other practitioner visits are broken down by activity, and physician visits and patients seen by physicians by age group. As for dental care visits, data are gathered on dentist visits and dental hygienist/assistant visits by age group, and on dental care patients by age group. National Institute for Health and Welfare has collected the data since 2002. Between 1994 and 2001, similar data were collected by the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.
