Building costs rose by 7.5 % in March 2022 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs rose by 7.5 % in March 2022 from one year back. In one year, the prices of steel structures, timber structures, frame structures and roofing materials have increased most. The price of timber products, which increased heavily during last year, is slowly falling, as the price of timber structures has declined in March by 1.3 % from one month ago. The prices of steel structures have grown by 2.3 % in one month and by 34 % in one year.
