According to Statistics Finland, the annual change in the index of purchase prices of the means of agricultural production was -9 per cent in the third quarter of 2023. Agricultural production commodities and services cost 14 per cent less and investments six per cent more than one year ago. The fall in prices is mainly explained by lower prices of fertilisers, but animal fodder and energy cost clearly less than one year ago.
