Clear fall in the number of days in adult education and training in 2022

According to Statistics Finland, the number of days in adult education and training received by an individual has decreased clearly compared with 2017. By contrast, training days received by wage and salary earners in employer-sponsored (personnel) training have remained on the previous level.

The number of days in adult education and training per person grew from 8.7 to 12.6 days at the end of the previous millennium. In this millennium, the number has fallen clearly, as it has more than halved. The drop was particularly steep from 2017 to 2022. During this period, the number of days in adult education and training fell from 8.3 to 5.4 days.
