Households' energy consumption grew in 2021

According to Statistics Finland, final consumption of energy products used by Finns in Finland and abroad grew by five per cent in 2021 from the previous year. Energy consumption totalled 1.2 million terajoules. The growth was biggest in households' consumption of energy, which was 10 per cent higher. Households’ consumption of electricity, heat and wood increased. Electricity consumption in manufacturing also grew by five per cent from the previous year.
